Once my gut told me to stop and my brain told me to go. My heart said nothing, it was beating too fast to give impressions. A few moments later I was sliding on the asphalt. Close but no cigar. Cycling always gave me a rough ride.

Equality

Equality

There is a lie going on.  It is one stating inequality, injustice, spread across the world.  I believe we're all equal, and this is why.  I have enough of everything in my life.  I have enough money to eat, enough friends to enjoy each day, enough childishness to laugh at the worse jokes, enough adulthood to know when to stop.  Yesterday I even had enough stupidity to drink beers until I felt dizzy.

Time to stop.

In a few months I'll have enough brains to succeed my exams, hopefully.  Yup, I've got enough of everything, except time.  Time is worse than wind.  Wind just floats, in a gust it may hit you and you'd wish you had a shelter, on a bicycle it may slow you down and you'd wish it change direction, on a boat it'll churn the sea and give you a rough ride, but it's always there, absolutely physical although invisible.  You're imprisoning it twelve times a minute as you sit and slowly breathe on your chair and read these words.  Take a few seconds to look up from your screen and acknowledge it, pressuring you, weighing down on you.  Shed yourself from your state of complacency.  Time isn't waiting for you.
Time flies by without notice.  Time will save you and it'll punish you.  Time has put us all on the surface of Earth and it will take us all back.  Time has made you grow and it'll bring you down.  Even Mother Nature is at the mercy of time.  Planet Earth is on a short term contract, ready to go.

I believe I made my point by now.  Time is the only common factor we all have.  We're all given the same amount of time.  My day lasts 24 hours just like yours.  What do you do in your day?  When is the last time your day felt too short, unfinished & un-finishable.  You felt like doing so much and just ran after time till there was none left, consumed.  Or perhaps did you set it on fire, then fed the flames, pouring gasoline into an already blazing fire.  So take a few seconds once again.  Did you consume it, or did you burn it?  Too many people burn time.  I burned time sleeping-in this morning, I scorched some more on Facebook right after, 10 minutes.  Too many people wish so often time could go faster.  Last Friday a close friend told me he wished the week-end was already over just because it was a tough one coming up.  Skipping time.  That's not going to work.  Time will take you on a journey through life's ebbs and flows.  There is no way around it, you'll get both, like a promotional bundle.  You'll be taken to the ground and dragged in the dirt, and you'll be brought up to the summits for everyone to see.  You won't even have to ask for it.  It's like a cycle, under the command of time.  But I believe you have a say upon it's intensity.  Are you on the low road with your time machine on the back burner, or is your leg stretched, peddle to the metal, blasting on the high road?  There is a lot of space up there, you can go fast, you can go high, and you can fall right down to the bottom in a matter of ... time.
